A.S. Recycling is a student-funded organization designed to serve the UCSB campus. While we do not have the resources to accept electronic waste material from those who are not associated with the campus, we are always happy to provide information and suggestions as to how individuals can reduce waste in an environmentally responsible manner. We’ve put together a list of (usually, be sure to check) free e-waste dropoff sites in the Santa Barbara area that we hope will be helpful, but please give us a call if you have any questions! You can also check 1800recycling.com/ for a list of drop-off sites for a wide variety of products, tailored to any zip code in the country.
For hazardous waste (batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paints, oils, chemicals, etc), please see the Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center page. This facility is located at UCSB but is NOT facilitated with AS Recycling, so please contact them directly.
